The Bar Beej

A Bollywood Speakeasy

Inspired by and crafted strictly from our Indian kitchen, The Bar Beej is a Bollywood-themed speakeasy from Cheeni Durham that serves Desi-inspired craft cocktails, women-driven wines, and a limited selection of local & import beers. 

The Bar Beej has eleven seats, sometimes twelve, with standing room.

We do not accept reservations for The Bar Beej, and walk-ins are seated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Our cocktail menu has over 20 rotating cocktails crafted from Indian ingredients. We strive to make all mixers, syrups, cordials, and bitters in-house, highlighting the diversity and beauty of Indian ingredients as a core component of every glass.

The Bar Beej has a bar snacks menu for after-hours, though full dinner service is available during Cheeni's open hours. The Bar Beej's hours are as follows:

Monday: 5-9 PM

Tuesday: 5-9 PM

CLOSED WEDNESDAY

Thursday: 5-9 PM

Friday: 4-Midnight (last call 11:15)

Saturday: 4-Midnight (last call 11:15)

Sunday: 4-Midnight (last call 11:15)
